We are delighted to have launched an information video aimed at improving awareness of the Patient Access Portal, a free online tool which allows remote access to a range of GP services for residents throughout Manchester.

The Patient Access Portal has been designed in partnership with the NHS to give people access to GP services online, via the website or through a mobile app. Once registered on the portal, patients will be able to manage GP appointments, repeat prescriptions, communicate easily with their practice and access their medical records.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic we have been contacted by numerous people from across Manchester who have raised concerns with us about access to such as GP practices, but there seemed to be little awareness about the Patient Access Portal and the benefits which it provides.

We commissioned the video to raise awareness of the tool and to ensure that people would be able to register as easily as possible. Once signed up, you can communicate with your local GP practice from the comfort of your own home.
