Experiences of CAMHS in Manchester

We are delighted to be releasing a new report looking into the experiences of people who have accessed Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Manchester

Last year we launched a survey aimed at gathering the experiences of people who had accessed CAMHS in Manchester and we are now able to report on our findings.

One of the key findings is the need to improve the transition out of CAMHS, as many of our respondents felt that there was not enough support once they had reached an age at which they were no longer able to access the service.

Neil Walbran, our Chief Officer, said:

"Ensuring that there is sufficient support for people who are transitioning out of the service is vitally important. People need to be reassured and have confidence that they will continue to receive necessary support once they reach the point where they have to transition out of the service."

We will be continuing to work on the issue of CAMHS during the forthcoming year and we are always keen to hear your feedback. If you would like to share your experiences, please click here.
