HWM Enter and View: Acacia Lodge

We visited Acacia Lodge to observe the environment and routine of the venue with a particular focus on how well it supports the dignity of residents. Moreover, we made a plan to speak to residents and carers about their experience in the home, focusing specifically on the care and any treatments provided. We also gave members of staff an opportunity to share their opinions and feedback about the service.

Overall our impressions of the Care Home were very impressive. The facilities, staff and care we observed was all to a high standard. The Care Home had good lighting, uncluttered corridors, mostly good signage and a large array of different social activities available for the residents.

All of the residents we conversed with spoke glowingly of the care and support they received from the staff team, from the management team to the kitchen team. 

Our only concern was with certain staff members not having visible name tags however after consulting the Senior General Manager about this, we have been informed that action has been taken to resolve this issue
